A common kingfisher with its catch...a fish. A great to see this small colorful bird sitting on its bamboo perch and fishing....diving and scooping up a fish...we witnessed this sight about 3 to 4 times .

If the brown headed gull and the common kingfisher have had their catch..can the giant be left out . A brahminy kite looking out for its prey...the smaller birds...fish.... and it was flying overhead as the tide was coming in and along with it fish and smaler waders.

The pond heron is also having its day fishing

One of my best shots till date, the angular flying brown headed gull.. \a crisp and excellent composition which I got on 13th

At the end of the day with no flamingoes in sight, we could get a wonderful sight of the sunset from the Boat.. thus winding up our excellent sightings.

Enjoy your visits to Sewree mudflats see the waders...the flamingoes are missing...probably roosting in Kutch or elsewhere...Have they found a new site ...anybody's guess.
The numerous birders across the country should throw up some information.
Till the flamingoes come back to the create a wave of pink at Sewree
this is subbu signing off...and better luck next year..
